The Kishwaukee United Way’s 211 Talk Show highlights local community agencies and leaders to discuss available resources with residents.

Kishwaukee United Way is gearing up for its annual Day of Caring community volunteerism event. The impactful day aims to bring volunteers from local companies and organizations to help select partner agencies and community organizations with various projects such as assisting with food drives, reading, cleaning animal living environments, landscaping, cleaning playgrounds, painting and more.

The Kishwaukee United Way’s 211 Talk Show highlights local community agencies and leaders to discuss available resources with residents.

Kishwaukee United Way is working to support and change the odds so tomorrow’s influential leaders can build a solid foundation. Kishwaukee United Way supports the assurance of every youth to gain a strong start in life and to have the tools to learn, grow, and thrive in purpose.

Cultivating a thriving community by sharing resources.

The annual meeting will aim to acknowledge the 20-plus local partner agencies who are providing intentional resources in the areas of education, health and income.

Serving a community out of love during the holidays: Meet a couple making a positive difference.

4-C: Community Coordinated Childcare advocates for families in need.

4-C: Community Coordinated Childcare is a nonprofit agency founded in 1971. Their service area includes DeKalb, Lee, Ogle, Whiteside, McHenry and Carroll counties. 4-C advocates for inclusion and celebrates diversity through a culturally sensitive approach.

Diapers are a necessity for families with young children, and yet, many struggle to afford them. This challenge has only grown with the recent hardships caused by the pandemic. EPP, led by a dedicated team of volunteers, recognized this issue and decided to take action.

Kishwaukee United Way’s 2-1-1 Program is expanding its reach.

Kishwaukee United Way’s 2-1-1 program is a free information and referral line populated with local resources. The most non-emergency requested resources from DeKalb County residents continue to be rental assistance, food pantries, utility assistance and transportation.
