We are pleased to be a referral source for people in our area who need to make a connection with a service provider or agency. Any resident who has questions or needs help accessing a service may inquire for assistance.
Kishwaukee United Way uses a number of sources to determine the community’s areas of greatest need, and extends funding to programs and agencies that will have the greatest impact in addressing those needs.
The success of Kishwaukee United Way’s partner agencies is extraordinary! We’d like to share some of the successes with you. Click here to read some success stories submitted by our agencies.
Annual Allocation Grants
The Kishwaukee United Way Allocation Committee, comprised of our volunteer Board of Directors, evaluates agency services on an annual basis, designating raised money to local programs to meet vital community needs. The committee is provided with agency data enabling them to review annual goals and performance, and attend site visits to further understand agency needs.
Campaign Goals Set
Request for Partner Consideration
Not-for-Profit organizations interested in partnering with United Way must meet certain requirements, including an initial submission of the Application for Partner Consideration document. If the Board of Directors approves a Not-for-Profit organization for admission, the agency will then be given the opportunity to apply for funding in the next open annual allocation process or as determined by the Board of Directors. (Funding requests are separate from partner status requests.) Organizations are eligible to apply for funding annually.
Agencies selected as partner agencies will be asked to meet minimum standards, enter into an Annual Agency Agreement, and will support the efforts of Kishwaukee United Way in various ways, including fundraising, campaign support and participation in Kishwaukee United Way’s events and meetings.
