Kishwaukee United Way is governed by a volunteer board that bears decision making responsibility for the organization. Volunteers are representatives of our service area, have a demonstrated interest in United Way’s goals and are willing to contribute to the community in a meaningful way. Professional staff includes an Executive Director and a Coordinator of Finance and Outreach.
Community volunteers are recruited to serve our community as Kishwaukee United Way Board members to assist in organizational management, event promotion, and fund development. Candidates have these core competencies; the courage to lead; the demand for accountability and integrity; the obligation to listen, communicate and respond; the opportunity for the talents of all to be shared; the power of people to pull together for a common cause.
